Ten-Year Forecast VR Presentation @ Institute For The Future
"Your platform is very responsive and we are all excited to develop our presentations using it".
"I love using Storyhive. I do a lot of presentations. This is the first time I am able to share 360 images with my audience. I have been sharing my 360 content only with individuals up to this point. This is the first time I have ever been able to do it with a room full of people, and I think that is really a powerful experience, just like going to a movie theater to watch a film and talking about it afterwards, versus watching something at home on Netflix. It was a really good start, and I am excited about how this will continue to develop."
Every year, researchers from Institute For The Future (IFTF) travel around the world for future studies on various topics, and share their insights with leaders from different industries at the Ten-Year Forecast conference. In 2017, the IFTF folks have decided to deliver their stories in a futuristic manner, through Storyhive. With Storyhive, they managed to engage 25-30 audience in the same immersive experience with a live presenter leading them through it. Audience get to virtually transported to locations which are dangerous or protected by government.
So really, VR is not designed to be consumed by one person and with isolation. If used rightly, it can actually help people better connect with each other. Hear from Mike (Field Research Affiliate) and Ben (Journalism Technologist) about their experiences using Storyhive for spacial immersive storytelling.
