Cedar Girls' Secondary School VR Classes
Teachers from the Humanities department at Cedar Girls' Secondary School designed their own classes & used Storyhive platform to bring students on VR heritage tours in Chinatown & Kampung Glam. Teachers can create their own VR classes with ease on Storyhive. This initiative was featured on Channel 8 by Mediacorp.
St Nicholas Girls' School VR Classes
Teachers from St Nicholas Girls' School's Chinese Department developed a scenario-based Chinese language learning program on Storyhive. In this experience, teachers are able to virtually bring a group of students outside of the classrooms, visit places such as vegetable shops, fruit shops, clothes shops, hawker centers, etc., and practice their language speaking skills under different scenarios. This project was created with one of the latest features of Storyhive, the voice recording function, which allowed students to record and upload their voices as answers to questions given to them in the virtual environment. The teachers were able to retrieve the answers of all the students from the web portal. The content was based on the syllabus provided by the Ministry of Education of Singapore.
VR Stories with TOUCH Community Services
TOUCH Community Services produced 2 episodes of VR stories from the 1st person perspective, and ran Storyhive classroom VR sessions in schools throughout Singapore, to raise awareness about mental health among the youth. The 1st episode, produced by Hiverlab and Kelvin Sng Productions, was about Depression. The 1st person Point-Of-View 360-degree video gave more insights on how a person, who suffers from depression, views the world. The 2nd episode was about Anxiety. Using the latest motion-capturing solutions, Hiverlab created an immersive 360-degree animation that put the viewers in the shoes of a person who suffers from anxiety. Through the Storyhive multi-user classroom sessions, social workers at TOUCH Community Services were able to conduct guided sessions with students, observe their behaviors in a VR story, and study the syndromes of various mental health issues together. The VR experiences were well received by schools, government agencies, and the media.
Collaboration with MINDS - Lee Kong Chian Gardens School
In collaboration with MINDS - Lee Kong Chian Gardens school, a special education school in Singapore, Hiverlab delivered a 1-day dynamic and enriching VR training experience to more than 100 students through the Storyhive system. Guided by the special education teachers, students experienced boating, diving, flying, and roller coaster for the first time in their lives. The class was further supplemented by a Q&A session and discussion after an experience, to enhance the training of the students' observations skills, memory skills, as well as communication skills.
Testimonials
Huge thanks to the team for working on this. It was really a pleasure working with you. You guys are one of the best vendors I've worked with - the amount of initiative and quality of ideas that come out from the team was really amazing. Not forgetting your speedy turnaround time! So thank you all!

I have worked very successfully with Hiverlab over the past few years on a heritage project based in Cyprus. Hiverlab is the perfect partner for scholars such as myself who are 'content-rich' but less well-versed in the innovative technologies and media to make the work truly impactful on both popular and pedagogical platforms. I will certainly continue to work with them. They are VERY highly recommended!

The advantage of this Storyhive VR programme is that it allows the trainers to communicate with a relatively large class and for the students to interact with one another, which is very difficult in a real-life dive situation. In this particular context, we can train a large number of people, not necessarily just employees, at the same time, yet maintain a level of interaction in instruction that cannot be achieved underwater. The demonstration of the VR prototype has been positive.
