5G AR Broadcasting at Chingay 2020
In collaboration with People's Association, M1, and Huawei, Hiverlab deployed the first mobile-based 5G AR broadcasting solution in the region. The solution is powered by Hiverlab's proprietary AR broadcasting solution RealityCast™.
During the event, Hiverlab made use of Huawei's 5G enabled mobile devices to connect to M1's 5G network, allowing AR effects of flowers floating to the skies and a flying dragon with flames emerging from viewers' screens on mobile and web.
This trial was an immense success, which enhanced the key performances during the parade, watched by hundreds of thousands online during the 2-day parade.

The advantage of this Storyhive VR programme is that it allows the trainers to communicate with a relatively large class and for the students to interact with one another, which is very difficult in a real-life dive situation. In this particular context, we can train a large number of people, not necessarily just employees, at the same time, yet maintain a level of interaction in instruction that cannot be achieved underwater. The demonstration of the VR prototype has been positive.
