Discovery Networks VR

Since 2016, Hiverlab has been working with Discovery Networks APAC and Discovery VR to create a series of 360-degree documentaries. Our recent series in collaboration with Burning Bush Films, Abandoned, gives the audience an eye-opening experience by bringing them back to time in Hashima, Japan, and Tuol Sleng, Cambodia, to witness the heart-breaking history.

For the two episodes, we implemented a unique special effects treatment, using archives images and videos to overlay on the immersive present-day environments. The stories were selected for some showcases at the Parliament House of Singapore and ASEAN Ministers Responsible for Information (AMRI) with the Storyhive system being used for the multi-user VR screenings.
